Our
Projects
OCSATF is committed to implementing programs dedicated to prevention and treatment of drug and alcohol abuse.
1. Establishing or supporting a treatment center at/near Ozark County
2. Sponsoring individuals entering a residential treatment center
3. Providing funds to prevention and education series held at schools or community centers throughout the year
4. Supporting Ozark County law enforcement’s newly added canine unit
5. Providing funds to establish a transportation service for individuals to get to and from treatment courts, work/training centers, recovery group meetings, etc.
6. Setting up a shelter or arranging a temporary room / motel for individuals to settle while awaiting process to move into a treatment facility or help center
7. Setting up a safe center/facility for pregnant women and their unborn child while receiving treatment for their substance abuse/treatment
OCSATF SUCCESSES

OCSATF became a registered coalition in conjunction with Community Partnership of the Ozarks (CPO) on August 13, 2019. CPO is a regional organization that provides resources for mental health, substance abuse, and other issues that communities are faced with.

In collaboration with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), the second annual Fields of Faith, which is a student-led worship service, was held at Gainesville High School football field on October 9, 2019. We have partnered with FCA groups throughout the county to host lock-ins, giving children a safe place to have fun and learn of the dangers of substance abuse.

Christian Research Hospital awarded the Task Force $2,500 on January 29, 2020.

Community Navigator was selected and began working for the Task Force on June 16, 2020. The role of the navigator is essentially to serve as a liaison and support individuals in need of finding a treatment center or help during recovery to transition back into the community.

Dangers of Vaping program presented at local schools in 2020.

GenerationRx presentation at DOW Camp in August 2021.

Created drug awareness and prevention signs to be used in schools and other public locations.

Opened men's Action Recovery Center in Gainesville November 2023.

Opened women's Action Recovery Center in Gainesville February 2023.
